The wait is over, winter has made place for spring and we couldn’t be happier to get out and start planting. We started using soil blocks to compare them to our “routine” 72 plug trays. There’s hope that this will reduce transplanting shock and help our plant grow faster. We started using Biochar and mixing it with our own fermented compost (Bokashi) to increase microbial activity in our soil. Together with volunteers from A Rocha, we started to reforest our Alder/Blackberry mix in the back of the property. The idea behind this is to protect this part of the Little Campbell River watershed , turn the forest into our own Agroforestry project from which we all can learn from and enjoy the forest setting.
This is a wonderful time for us and we’d love to share it with you. We therefore invite you to join us for our Open House on
